The quest for affordable organic baby toys
It’s nice to see the wide array of organic cotton and bamboo baby clothes on the market. It doesn’t take too much searching to find brands like Babysoy, Kee-Ka, Small Plum Organics and Speesees that have made the commitment to offer affordable organic baby clothes that are also stylish. But when we set out to add organic baby toys to our store the search was much different.
Being a mom, I understand the need to give your little one something safe to love (and chew on!) We are happy to say that we found Dandelion Toys. They offer organic cotton baby toys that are filled with corn fiber, offer cute designs and most retail for under $15.
The corn fiber filling is both natural and washable plus it does not clump up like synthetic fibers. We’ve just added their line of bamboo animal shakers. Made with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified bamboo viscose they are cuddly and cute.
In addition to making great eco-friendly toys, Dandelion Toys is a member of 1% for the Planet. We are so happy to include them in the Natural Luxe family of products!

Oh Joy! Baby clothes made from soy
Do you know what your baby’s little lovey blanket is made of? Why should you care? Well, if your baby is anything like mine, they will be snuggling up with it and chewing on the corners everyday for months and it’s important to create and maintain a chemical-free environment for your child’s development.
We’ve got a inexpensive, super-cute company for you: Babysoy
Babysoy is the first company in the world to create baby’s newborn wardrobe using soybean protein fiber. Soybean protein fiber is a sustainable and botanical textile fiber made from renewable and biodegradable natural resources – the leftover soybean pulp from tofu and soymilk production. Its 16 amino acids are healthy and nutritional for our skin. It is a green textile fiber that possesses the superiorities of many natural and synthesized fibers.
The colors of the blankets, bibs and clothing are beautiful! Deep pinks, chocolate browns and vibrant blues make up the line of baby kimonos, signature soft blankets and accessories. They are also proud to support Healthy Child Healthy World, an organization dedicated to protecting the health and well being of children from harmful environmental exposures. With most of their items under $25, Babysoy makes giving your baby a green start affordable too. Check out the Babysoy collection at Natural Luxe today!

Combine original artwork, organic cotton and babies and you get Fierce Hugs.
Started by friends Tina Fusari and Hani Hong, Fierce Hugs is a welcome alternative to the world of cutesy baby clothes. The bright colors and fun graphics stand out from the crowd, paired with organic cotton and made with fair-trade labor Fierce Hugs is on it’s way to securing a spot on the must have list for babies.

Fierce Hugs commissioned Italian artist Silvia Osella to design the graphics for their spring and summer line. She came up with prints that are both whimsical and edgy, a perfect addition to a green baby’s wardrobe.

We love the unique designs but we also were struck by the gift ready eco-friendly packaging. Cute and convenient!

Natural Luxe is excited to offer Fierce Hugs online and in our Charlotte location. We think you will love them too!

Babybearshop featured in Southern Living Magazine
Healthy Skin-Care for BabyWhen Nashville’s Diana Lussenden Stewart couldn’t find organic products for her baby’s skin, she started making her own. Here’s how BABYBEARSHOP went from her kitchen to your local store.
Necessity really is the mother of invention. Take Diana Lussenden Stewart, for instance. When she couldn’t find products free from fragrance and synthetic ingredients for her baby’s itchy skin, she decided to make her own. With her knowledge of aromatherapy and healing remedies, she began blending organic oils, such as sunflower seed, Roman chamomile, olive, rose hip, and lavender, to make a soothing cream. As her daughter’s skin cleared, Diana’s friends began asking for their own jars of the baby cream. She mixed up more products in her home kitchen, including a stretch mark belly oil.

Tiny Shoes on a Big Mission from Keen and Simple
They may be Simple, but their shoes are so darn smart. Known for their pioneering use of recycled carpet padding and inner tubes, unbleached hemp, natural crepe rubber and other green bits and bobs, Simple strives to protect the Earth by creating supremely sustainably made footwear, starting with its smallest styles. Newest in the company’s 2009 lineup is the whimsical Weegee, an “awww”-inspiring, machine-washable booty made of eco-certified suede with an organic-cotton foldover to keep itty-bitty ankles snug in cooler climes. We adore the unisex Ladybug—just one of four fun appliqué designs that all come packaged in post-consumer-recycled boxes, of course. For novice walkers, there’s Simple’s brand-new toddler collection, made up of three styles that are as much fun to say as they are to wear.

The Poodle, the Noodle and the Doodle combine eco-certified, washable suede uppers with nonmarking outsoles (our eco-friendly, biodegradable linoleum kitchen floors express their undying gratitude) and protective toe-cap guards to shield against bumping and bruising.
